Â
We partner with property owners, apartment communities, and property management companies to deliver cost-effective solutions that improve energy efficiency, property functionality, safety, and long-term operating performance.
Â
Our mission is to provide reliable services and innovative energy solutions while developing lasting relationships with our customers.
Position Overview

Optima Energy, Inc. is seeking a motivated, outgoing, and results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join our growing team.
Â
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting new people, identifying business opportunities, building professional relationships, and actively pursuing sales.
Â
Unlike a traditional office-based sales role, this position requires significant time in the field visiting apartment communities, commercial properties, and property management offices to introduce Optima Energy's services and generate new business opportunities.
Â
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new customer relationships, conducting cold outreach, identifying property maintenance and improvement needs, promoting electrical and lighting solutions, and managing the sales process from initial contact through customer approval.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual seeking a long-term career in sales with performance-based earning potential and the opportunity to gain experience in the electrical and energy-efficiency industry.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
-
Actively identify and pursue new sales opportunities within multifamily residential communities, apartment complexes, commercial properties, and property management organizations.
-
Conduct in-person cold visits to apartment communities and management offices to introduce Optima Energy's services and establish new customer relationships.
-
Perform daily outbound cold calling, emailing, and prospecting to generate qualified leads and schedule customer appointments.
-
Identify decision-makers, including property managers, maintenance supervisors, regional managers, and property owners.
-
Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of prospective customers and potential projects.
-
Establish new business relationships while maintaining professional communication with existing customers.
Electrical, Lighting & Energy-Efficiency Sales
-
Promote and sell Optima Energy's electrical installation, repair, and maintenance services.
-
Identify opportunities for interior and exterior lighting replacements, LED retrofits, lighting maintenance, and electrical improvements.
-
Discuss potential solutions to common property concerns, including lighting outages, inadequate illumination, aging electrical components, and ongoing maintenance needs.
-
Introduce customers to available energy-efficiency programs and potential incentive opportunities when applicable.
-
Educate prospective customers on the benefits of preventative maintenance, energy-efficient equipment, property safety improvements, and professional electrical services.
-
Coordinate with Optima Energy's technical and project management teams when additional assessments or technical recommendations are necessary.
-
Help organize project files from initial setup through completion and closeout.
Sales Management & Customer Follow-Up
-
Manage the sales process from initial prospecting through customer approval and project acquisition.
-
Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective customers regarding proposals, pricing, project opportunities, and pending approvals.
-
Reconnect with previous customers to identify additional service needs and new projects.
-
Communicate customer requirements to the estimating, operations, and project management teams to support accurate proposals.
-
Present proposals and discuss pricing, project benefits, and service recommendations with prospective customers.
-
Negotiate within company-approved pricing and sales guidelines to successfully close sales.
-
Maintain organized customer records, sales activities, and follow-up schedules using Microsoft Excel, CRM software, or other company-designated tracking systems.
Sales Performance & Accountability
-
Consistently work toward established monthly sales and revenue goals.
-
Meet daily prospecting expectations, including outbound calls, emails, and new customer contacts.
-
Complete weekly in-person property visits to generate new business opportunities.
-
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, leads, proposals, and sales results.
-
Participate in regular sales meetings to review pipeline development, sales opportunities, and performance.
-
Independently manage assigned sales territories, customer appointments, and daily prospecting activities.
Required Qualifications
-
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
-

Preferred Qualifications

-
Experience working with apartment communities, property management companies, or commercial property owners.
-
Familiarity with electrical services, lighting products, building maintenance, or energy-efficiency solutions.

Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who takes initiative rather than waiting for sales opportunities to come to them.

The ideal candidate is comfortable walking into an apartment community, introducing themselves to property management, starting a professional conversation, and identifying how Optima Energy can assist with the property's electrical, lighting, and maintenance needs.
Â
This individual should be persistent without being overly aggressive, confident without being pushy, and capable of developing customer relationships built on trust, professionalism, and consistent follow-through.
Â
Most importantly, we are seeking someone who is motivated to generate business, close sales, and contribute to the company's continued growth.
